Question: How do I get the program to run?
Answer: The program must be saved to your computer, then run the program. To run the program, go to Windows Explorer
and find LeagueScoring.exe, then double click on it.
Question: How do I enter a player's name?
Answer: After the league name is entered in Setup, go to Edit / Player's Scores and click on the New Player button. If
you need to change a player's name, click on the player's name field and then opposite click the mouse.
Question: How do I enter the player's scores?
Answer: Before any scores can be entered, a course must be established. Click on the New Round button found in
Edit / Player's Scores.
Question: Why is the Send button to post results to the internet, greyed out?
Answer: At least 1 player's score must be entered to produce results which can then be posted.
Question: When I go to the Setup screen my league name is gone. Why?
Answer: Use the drop down arrow to the right of the league name field to view and select from leagues previously entered.
Question: Can I post the league results to my web site instead of LeagueScoring.com?
Answer: Yes. By adding a link to your site that starts with, "www.LeagueScoring.com/Results/" followed by your league ID number, the
user will be able to access the league results from your web site.

Problem: When I post to the internet the blue bar goes across and it says done, but my league results do not
appear on LeagueScoring.com.
Solution: When sending from a network environment, the network administrator may have turned off certain rights or
the configuration in your Tools / Internet options / Connections / LAN Settings are not correct. To check if this is the problem,
post to the internet from a computer in a non-network environment.
Question: Why do I get "Unable to connect." when I post to the internet?
Answer: Go to your Internet Explorer / Options / Security / Trusted Sites and add www.LeagueScoring.com. Firewalls could also be stopping League Scoring from FTP'ing. Wireless networks need to be set to allow other network users to connect. Go to Wireless Connection Properties / Advanced / Internet Connection Sharing / and check the box for Allow other network users to connect thruough this computer's internet connection.
Question: How soon after I post will the league results become viewable on LeagueScoring.com?
Answer: The first time you post it takes 24 hours to view the results. Every subsequent post will be instantly available for viewing.
Question: Why don't the handicaps compute correctly?
Answer: The handicap may have been overriden on the Edit / Players Scores screen. Overridden fields are displayed in red. Place the curser on the Handicap field and right click
the mouse. Uncheck Override.
Question: How do I get a printout of the league results?
Answer: There is a print function from within the File / Preview screen.
Question: Why don't the handicaps and points compute?
Answer: These calculations are available when the $20 six months, $35 yearly license fee is paid.
Question: Seven Golf files appear on my desktop. How do I get rid of them?
Answer: These files are created by the League Scoring program when a league is created. Use Windows Explorer to cut and paste
these files along with the LeagueScoring.exe file to a different folder.
Question: Our league computes points hole by hole. How do I enter results per hole?
Answer: The hole scores and points are entered and totaled on the score card. The total points earned for the round are then entered into the
League Scoring program in the Edit / Players Scores screen. The per hole scores are not needed by the program for the computation of a player's handicap
and leaving the hole by hole data on the score card, reduces the data entry time required in producing league results.
Question: Our league has different divisions. How do I set this up?
Answer: Enter each division as a different league. Indicate the league name and the division in the Setup / League Name. This
does not increase your license fee of $35.
Question: How are past rounds updated? Does changing Setup effect past rounds?
Answer: The program computes all rounds when it calculates. Therefore you may make changes to the past round scores and they will
generate new results for the past rounds. This also means that any change in the Setup screen will effect past results. Any round may be
posted to the internet but only one round can reside on the internet at any given time.
Question: Our league has a first and second halve split to the season. How are total points reset?
Answer: Each time the program encounters Round 1, it resets total points to zero. Handicaps are never reset to zero except
for a player's first round.
Question: Why doesn't League Scoring compute a USGA handicap?
Answer: On March 12, 2000, the software industry was notified by the USGA that it had officially decided "...not
to grant any new licenses for the use of its Handicap System Formula in products designed to allow individuals
to monitor their USGA Handicap Indexes. Accordingly, the Handicap Department has determined that permitting its
Formulas to be used for monitoring purposes has not helped to promote a clear understanding about the USGA
Handicap System, and in fact may have caused confusion amongst the public as to how to obtain an official USGA
Handicap Index."
